§ 2.100.440. Political activity.

  • In addition to such other limitations as are imposed upon county employees generally either by state or federal laws:

    A.

    No county officer or employee may engage in political activity of any kind during the working hours of such officer or employee.

    B.

    Political activities may be conducted on premises owned or occupied by Napa County only to the extent permitted by board policy. Any such policy shall be adopted by resolution. Nothing herein is to be construed as prohibiting activities that are not political in nature on premises owned or occupied by Napa County; provided, however, that such activities shall be permitted only to the extent permitted by board policy.

    C.

    No county officer or employee may, during the working hours of such officer or employee, solicit or receive political funds to promote the passage or defeat of a ballot measure which would affect the rate of pay, hours of work, retirement, civil service, or other working conditions of county officers or employees generally.
