§ 2.04.050. Expenditures for orientation of supervisors-elect.

    The board of supervisors may authorize the expenditure of county funds for the training and orientation of persons who have been duly elected, but have not yet assumed office, as a supervisor of the county. For purposes of this section, training and orientation expenses shall include the payment of course fees, travel and per diem expenses, course materials and consultant services; provided, however, that the reimbursement of such expenses shall be limited to such amounts as the board of supervisors deems proper and beneficial to the exercise of supervisorial duties by newly elected supervisors.

    B.

    No expenditures shall be authorized pursuant to this section except upon receipt of a written request from the supervisor-elect which identifies the specific training and orientation he or she wishes to receive, and the cost thereof.

    C.

    This section shall not be construed to authorize the expenditure of any funds for training and orientation of a supervisor-elect which would occur subsequent to the date he or she assumes office.
