Whenever, on any day appointed for any meeting of the board of supervisors, or on
any day to which any meeting has previously been adjourned, a quorum shall fail to
attend, a lesser number may adjourn the meeting. In the event no member shall so attend,
the clerk of the board of supervisors shall declare the meeting adjourned to a stated
time and place, shall cause a notice of the adjournment to be given in the manner
set forth in Government Code Section 54955, and shall thereupon enter upon the record
of the board the fact that such an adjournment has taken place.
