§ 18.08.550. Second unit.

The term "second unit" means "accessory dwelling unit" as set forth in Government Code section 65852.2(i)(4) and means a residential dwelling unit which provides complete independent living facilities for one or more persons, including permanent provisions for living, sleeping, eating, cooking and sanitation on the same parcel or parcels as a primary single family dwelling is situated. The second unit may be attached to or detached from the single family dwelling or may be attached to an accessory structure. A second unit may consist of an efficiency unit, as defined in Section 17958.1 of the Health and Safety Code, or a manufactured home, as defined in Section 18007 of the Health and Safety Code.
