§ 8.24.040. Hours for burning—Exceptions.

  • It is unlawful for any person to set fire or cause fire to be set out of doors between April 1st and December 1st of any year between the hours of twelve noon and six a.m. of the next following day; provided, however, that the duly constituted fire control authority may specify in the permit required in Section 8.24.020 that barbecue pits, adequately built to prevent the escape of sparks or fire may be used, providing that there is clearance of at least ten feet radius, and such additional clearance as may be necessary in the area for which a permit is sought, to insure that fire will not spread to adjacent grass, brush or other inflammable vegetation or material.
