§ 2.97.020. Procedure—Generally.

  • Real property owned or leased by the county may be leased or subleased in accordance with the following procedure rather than the procedure required by Government Code Sections 25526 through 25535:

    A.

    The board of supervisors shall authorize and the public works department shall post in at least three public places for not less than fifteen days and publish for not less than two weeks in a newspaper of general circulation published in the county a call for bids to lease or sublease the real property. The call shall contain a general description of the property (including any limitations on permitted uses), the location of the property, the length of lease to be considered, and the time, date, and place at which award of the lease will be considered by the board of supervisors.

    B.

    At the time, date, and place set in the call for bids, the board of supervisors shall either accept the highest responsible bid or reject all bids.
