Chapter 2.56. COUNTY WELFARE DEPARTMENT |
§ 2.56.040. Departmental duties—Designated.
The department of public welfare shall administer within the county the following:
A.
Old Age Security Law;
B.
Aid to orphans and needy children;
C.
The issuance of licenses to private foster homes for child care and boarding homes for the aged;
D.
Aid to indigent persons, whether in private homes or publicly maintained institutions; provided, however, that the Napa County Infirmary shall be physically operated under the direction of the board of supervisors;
E.
Aid to the needy blind;
F.
Aid to the partially supported blind;
G.
Such other public assistance programs as shall be hereafter assigned to the department of public welfare by resolution of the board of supervisors.
