§ 11.28.210. Aircraft—Engine starting and operation.

  • No person shall start any aircraft engine on the county airport unless a competent operator is at the controls and the aircraft is either equipped with adequate brakes fully applied, or the wheels are securely blocked with blocks or chocks that can be removed safely. Also, no person shall start any aircraft engine on the county airport where the aircraft is in such a position that the propeller slipstream or jet blast can cause damage to or interfere with the operation of other aircraft, vehicles, mobile equipment, hangars, shops, other buildings, or can cause injury to passengers, spectators or other personnel.
